Mr. Jones Machine (S)
Mr Jones Machine consists of the brothers Jarmo and Jouni Ollila, and Magnus Lindström
Jarmo Ollila is the gifted singer and songwriter of Mr Jones Machine. His beautiful and steady voice has caught attention with bands like "La Vogue" and "Daily Planet". These two bands both delivered edgy and stylistic electronic pop music in the 80's and 90's.
He is a driven musician with a past in "Pouppée Fabrikk", which probably was the first industrial band to exist in Sweden. He is also a part of the cover combo Volvo 242.
Many are the bands that have been inspired by the heroes of the eighties; both in synthesizer based pop and electronic body music. So have Mr Jones Machine, but they also glance even further back and want to reproduce and renew the sound of the pioneers in the late seventies and their predecessors.
In 2004 Mr. Jones Machine was discovered by the Swedish record label Progress Productions and in November the same year a record deal was closed.
Their debut album "New Wave", which was released in January 2005, is old school synth pop with a music style that reminds of artists like Human League, John Foxx, Ultravox, and old Depeche Mode.
